Online Credit Report Ordering Guide

There are three main options for ordering a credit report online.

1. Single Report.  Order a copy of your credit report from just one of the three main Credit Report Agencies (CRAs).

2. Combined Report.  Order a merged report with information from all three CRA's.  (The merged report is useful because information reported by each of the three CRAs can be different.)

Single Report.

TrueCredit offers online access to your Trans Union credit report for $9.95. In addition, TrueCredit offers a useful TrueProfiler service that provides personal credit analysis.  The TrueProfiler service costs $4.95 and  includes:

• A numerical index that measures your credit standing.
• An indication of your credit worthiness - ranging from "very poor" to "very good".
• A personalized analysis of the factors that affect your credit score - and recommendations for improvement.
• Samples of both the online credit report and TrueProfiler are availalble on the TrueCredit web site.

Equifax allows you to order and view your credit report online for $9.00 with continued access for one month.  This includes access to its online credit report investigation service to correct problems. 

• Equifax  also offers access to Score Power ($12.95) which is the actual credit score used by a majority of lenders.

Trans Union online ordering. (Trans Union does not provide online credit report access.)

Combined Report

TrueCredit offers combined reports with data provided by all three national credit bureaus: Experian, Equifax, and Trans Union. The combined report can be ordered online for $34.95 and will be mailed within 24 hours.  The combined report is useful because the information collected by the three credit bureaus is not always alike.

In addition, TrueCredit offers a useful TrueProfiler service that provides personal credit analysis.  The service costs $4.95 and  includes:

• A numerical index that measures your credit standing.
• An indication of your credit worthiness - ranging from "very poor" to "very good".
• A personalized analysis of the factors that affect your credit score - and recommendations for improvement.
